Meet two Gazan friends of mine, brothers, Suleiman and Saed Al Namrouti, from Khan Yunis, Gaza. They have seven sisters and two brothers, the youngest almost two years old.

The Israeli aggression in Gaza has left these boys and their family homeless, with almost no food and, in the case of Suleiman, with no legs, as a bomb dropped by the Israeli army took off his legs. They now live in a very precarious tent, with the rest of their family, in very difficult conditions of security, hygiene and lack of food.

A kilo of flour costs more than thirty dollars. A kilo of rice or pasta is about ten dollars. A small can of tuna, the only animal protein available, is more than five dollars. An onion costs four dollars. These, along with some pulses (which are also very expensive), are the only foodstuffs available in Gaza.

Saed and Suleiman's family have no money, and no savings either, having lost them during these long months of bombardment and deprivation. The only source of money for them is their work in a small and humble coffee and tea stall outside the hospital where I work, but what they earn is insufficient to feed their family properly.

That is why, from the bottom of our hearts, we would like to ask for a little help, through this platform. A donation of your money, even if it is little, means a lot to them. Besides giving them food, it gives them hope that, outside Gaza, their suffering is heard and understood, and that someone is helping them.
