What is the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity
The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (Wielka Orkiestra Świątecznej Pomocy, or WOŚP) is one of the largest charitable foundations in Poland. It was founded in 1993 by Jerzy Owsiak, a well-known Polish social activist and journalist.
The organisation has become internationally renowned for its significant impact, raising millions of zlotys each year. Its main mission is to raise funds for the purchase of medical equipment for hospitals in Poland, with a focus on children's and elderly care.
The foundation's flagship event is the Grand Finale, held annually on the last Sunday in January. The event is accompanied by concerts, performances and many other activities taking place in Poland and internationally. On this day, thousands of volunteers raise funds for specific healthcare causes through a variety of methods, including online fundraising.
This year's 33rd Grand Finale was all about raising money for children's oncology and haematology!
The Grand Finale 2025
Cancer is the second leading cause of death among children in Poland. Every year, around 1,100 children are diagnosed with cancer and 3,000 receive intensive treatment. The care of children with cancer requires a huge amount of equipment and diagnostics, which is why the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity 2025 aimed to raise funds for paediatric oncology and haematology.
4fund.com once again had the opportunity to take part in this annual global charity event organised by the largest non-governmental charity organisation in Poland. This year our platform provided a secure fundraising tool for up to 27 Collection Centres from all over the world! Together we raised over €110,000!
Fundraising events around the world
Last year, during the 32nd Grand Final, together we managed to raise approximately €50,000! The money was used to purchase equipment to diagnose, monitor and rehabilitate lung disease in children and adults.
In 2025, more than twice as much money was raised on 4fund.com!
From Meridian Zero in the UK to Australia, 27 teams ran their campaigns on 4fund.com, raising funds in the international Euro currency (while allowing Donators to choose their preferred currency - automatically converted on the fundraising page) and showing that the GOCC connects people all over the world! Among them:
- Dublin Collection Centre - the Dublin community along with Carlow, Balbriggan, Portlaoise and Gorey have once again raised over €35,000 through their online fundraising efforts!
- Tilburg Collection Centre - the team raised over €13,000 not only from donators but also from bidders who had the chance to win vouchers and t-shirts!
- Geneva Collection Centre - more than €11,000 was raised through direct donations, moneyboxes and offers/auctions on the Gevena team's campaign!
The 33rd Grand Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity showed that together we are stronger! Over €110,000 Euros have been raised for the children's oncology and haematology on our platform thanks to wonderful communities from: Dublin, Galway, Wexford, Tilburg, Amsterdam, Breda-Roosendaal, Helmond, Geneva, Niederwangen bei Bern, Cloppenburg, Edewecht, Berlin, Frankfurt, Magdeburg, Rheda-Wiedenbrück, Vienna, Northampton, Liverpool, Blackpool, Roeselare, Brussels, Madrid, Barcelona, Marbella, Paphos and Melbourne. Thank you for placing your trust in us. You have done a great job!

Main event in Poland
Our 4fund.com team attended the main event of the 33rd Grand Finale, which took place on 26 January in Warsaw. We had the great opportunity to appear in the GOCC studio and receive thanks from Jurek Owsiak himself! This is a great honour for us and a motivation for further action!
We are pleased to announce that during the 33rd Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity on 4fund.com and zrzutka.pl (the Polish version of the platform) we raised more than €338,000! And the figure is still rising! The final amount will be announced on 11 February.
