Help an Auschwitz survivor fight for the truth. Let's not let the lie win.
He is 100 years old. He survived a German extermination camp. He lost his fellow prisoners, his youth and his health.
Today he has to fight once again - this time for historical truth and the honour of the victims.
Stanisław Zalewski, a former Auschwitz prisoner, objected to the term "Polish concentration camps" used by foreign media. This is a lie that:
shifts the blame from the German perpetrators to the victims,
falsifies the history of the Second World War,
hurts former prisoners and their families,
damages Poland's good name in the world.
Unfortunately, the Polish Court of Appeal ruled that a Polish citizen cannot demand an apology from foreign media, even if such a blatant lie is told against him. At the same time, the court allowed for the possibility of seeking redress - and this means a further difficult and costly legal battle.
Why do we need your help?
This case is not just about one man.
It concerns:
defending the truth about the German death camps,
Opposition to the falsification of history,
the dignity of all victims of the Holocaust,
the future - because if we agree to a lie today, tomorrow it will become 'fact'.
Stanisław Zalewski is not fighting for himself.
He is fighting for his dead fellow prisoners who no longer have a voice.

legal services and expert opinions,
translations, documentation and actions necessary to defend historical truth.
