My name is Gianluigi Lezzi and I am an entrepreneur with over twenty years’ experience in the hospitality sector, a professional who has dedicated his life to the world of bartending. Behind the bar, amidst shakers and fine spirits, I have honed not only my technique but also an almost obsessive attention to the details of service. It is precisely from this attention to detail that an idea was born, one destined to change the way spirits are presented to customers.

Over the years, I have observed how the boom in the gin and spirits market has led customers to want to ‘get to know’ a spirit before choosing it, particularly through smell. However, the common practice – bringing the mouth of the bottle close to the customer’s nose – has always struck me as rather inelegant and unhygienic.

This reflection gave rise to his idea: an olfactory tasting kit designed for bars and bartenders, allowing spirits to be presented to customers in the same way as in the world of perfumery. The kit consists of a clip that fits most bottles, a glass atomiser and a transfer pipette. It works simply and effectively: the spirit is transferred into the atomiser using the pipette and, once attached to the bottle with the clip, allows the scent of the spirit to be diffused without having to bring the bottle directly to the customer’s nose.

This innovation not only enhances the sensory experience but also elevates the image of the bartender and the venue, making the service more refined and professional. Gianluigi Lezzi has not simply created an accessory: he has found a solution to a real problem in the industry, demonstrating that innovation stems from observation and experience.

Today, his aim is to bring this idea to market and distribute the kit to the finest cocktail bars, so that every customer can enjoy a tasting experience worthy of the finest spirits.
