Description
Life/the universe/fate/the divine has been very generous to me. I am grateful, I say thank you, and I cherish every moment. On 8 October, I will mark another year of joy and life.
This year, I don’t want any presents!
What I would like is for you to turn your good wishes and gifts into empathy and support.
I have been active for 29 years within the Romanian Transplant Association (ATR). Almost 30 years ago, I was given a new lease of life: a kidney transplant, given that… a few more months on dialysis would have meant ‘the end of the story’! And because I am part of the history of kidney transplantation in Romania, because back then, in 1995, everything was STILL in its infancy, because I knew what it had been like since as far back as 1980 and I wanted as many of those suffering as possible to have the same chance I had, I joined the initiative group that made the founding of the ATR possible.
And ATR has been in existence for 29 years thanks to the voluntary work of its members and the financial support of people who understand how important it is to find a foothold when the ground is slipping from under your feet. That is why I am DONATING my birthday and inviting you to join those who make it possible for ATR to exist and continue its mission.
Thank you so much, wonderful people!
(ATR... is following me: I found her on the street... in Rm. Vâlcea!!!!)
