Our little Trottolina limped home yesterday, in pain and covered in blood, after being hit by a car.

The vet came to our home to clean and bandage her wounds, whilst we waited to take her to the clinic this morning for a more thorough examination.

Today, following scans and X-rays, it was confirmed that she has no fractures but a torn ligament in her hind leg, as well as fluid build-up around the kidneys that needs to be monitored.

To try and ensure she can return to her former life without becoming completely lame, she needs ligament reconstruction surgery costing around €700, on top of all the costs we are already incurring for consultations, specialist tests and her stay at the clinic.

I am asking you, if you can, to help us ensure she has a normal future and to cover the costs of this operation. Every contribution, however small, is extremely valuable to us and will help us get Trottolina scampering around the house and garden as she always has.

As soon as I receive them from the clinic, I will also publish all the results of reports, quotes and costs for the treatments already carried out!
