Description
Hello, I’ve been a professional chef for 24 years. Originally from Lyon, I moved to Annemasse in Haute-Savoie, on the Swiss border, four years ago because I’d started a relationship. I’d found a good job in a large restaurant, but unfortunately, a month ago, the business went into liquidation. I’ve been looking for work, but I’ve come to realise thatit’s a small town; job opportunities mean you have to travel to the big cities, but without a means of transport it’s complicated with split shifts and finishing work after midnight; employers refuse to hire you if you don’t have your own transport. As I had a staff flat, I had to find emergency accommodation, which cost me over €3,000; Ican’t afford to buy a vehicle; a scooter is an economical and affordable option for those on low incomes. My current monthly income goes towards paying the rentjust enough to keep one mouth fed. I apply for jobs, and I get offers, but they’re for distances that are impossible to cover without a vehicle. But without a job, I won’t have the money to buy a scooter. I’ve tried to find solutions by offering my services online to private individuals, even for household chores, but it’s the same problem: people call me for jobs 20 or 30 km away. Ultimately, I needhelp. I’m willing to work for you and pay back double. I don’t like asking people for help, especially for money. I’ve been working since I was 15; I started as an apprentice. But I’ve never given up on anything I’ve set out to do, and if this is one of the possible solutions, I have to try it. Otherwise, I’ll only have myself to blame if I lose everything because of misplaced pride. Thank you.
