Bamboo is a large Maremmano crossbreed weighing almost 40 kg who has been with us since he was three months old. Adopted from the Viterbo dog shelter, he had been found in a large box with his three siblings.From the very first months, we noticed a waddling gait and a reluctance to move. Following a full X-ray of his hips and elbows, he was diagnosed with the most severe form of dysplasia in both hips. After consulting various specialists, all confirmed the need for a total hip replacement involving the removal of the femoral head and acetabulum and the insertion of carbon and titanium prostheses.

Unfortunately, the various consultations confirmed that the cost of the operation would be very high.

The figures range from €4,000 to €5,000 per prosthesis, bringing the total to €10,000, not including consultations, medication, physiotherapy, etc...

Unfortunately, we are unable to cover the full cost of the operation and are asking for your help, however small, to help us meet the expense.
