Agriambiente is an organisation recognised by the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security (No. 1994 of 04/11/2003) and has a team of highly professional animal welfare officers, authorised to operate under regional and prefectural decrees.

Our officers are responsible for preventing and prosecuting violations of laws and regulations on animal protection and environmental protection.

Animal Welfare Officers: Volunteer Heroes

Animal welfare officers are volunteers who dedicate their time, without any contribution to expenses, to intervene in often critical and delicate situations. Every intervention involves risks to their safety, but their mission is clear: to defend animals and the territory.

In the exercise of their duties, they are recognised as Public Officials pursuant to Article 357 of the Italian Code of Criminal Procedure, also operating as Administrative Police (Law 689/81, Article 13) and Judicial Police (Articles 55 and 57 of the Italian Code of Criminal Procedure).

Thanks to fundraising, we want to guarantee the Animal Welfare Officers the resources they need to continue their work. We need:

Suitable means of transport for interventions in the area

Equipment to rescue animals in distress

Veterinary care for animals rescued from extreme conditions
