WHY WE EXIST

In Lithuania, when a woman runs from abuse, there is nowhere to run.

No emergency button.

No safe shelter.

No one to answer at 2 AM when a child is screaming and a mother is bleeding inside.

For migrant and refugee women, the danger is even greater.

They arrive fleeing war, persecution, or hopelessness—only to find new threats behind closed doors. Language barriers, isolation, and bureaucracy mean that help is even further out of reach.

We see what others ignore.

Mothers hiding bruises with makeup. Children flinching at footsteps. Police reports ignored. Women told to “go back and calm down.”

Migrant mothers afraid to speak up, fearing deportation or losing their children.

Families living in fear, invisible to the system.

We built Raganiukės Foundation not because we could — but because no one else would.

We are creating Lithuania’s first SOS System:

A digital lifeline, a real shelter, a voice in court, a hand that says “you’re not alone.”

A place where Lithuanian, migrant, and refugee women and children are treated with equal dignity and care.

We provide:

– Safe places to sleep tonight

– Legal protection against abusers

– Psychological care for traumatized children

– Emergency response where the state remains silent

– Support for women and children regardless of nationality or origin

And we do it all without a cent of government support.

Just us, and whoever dares to care.
