Description
Nest inspection and chick safety check
The initiative focuses on inspecting nests and protecting storks. The main goal of the campaign is to control the stork nests, check the chicks and renovate and clean the nests from hazardous materials that storks often bring along with the nesting material.
One of the key tasks is to remove plastic strings from the nests, which young storks can get entangled in.
Observations clearly show a decline in the stork population in Poland over the past decade. That is why, it is so important to care for them.
