The National Animal Welfare Foundation is dedicated to helping animals in need, as well as sick and injured animals, across Hungary. Our main aim is to rescue, treat and neuter street cats in order to curb overpopulation. Our volunteers work day in, day out to give those who cannot ask for help a chance at a better life.

Help us save sick street cats – we’re raising funds for an ambulance! 🚗🐾

Our foundation has been given a huge opportunity: we’ve won a grant of 700,000 HUF to buy an ambulance, which we could use to transport sick and injured street cats.

This is a huge help... but unfortunately, it’s not enough.

A reliable car suitable for our work – a Škoda Fabia Combi – costs between 1,300,000 and 1,500,000 HUF, so we are still short of around 700,000 HUF.

At the moment, we are using one of our volunteers’ own cars for rescues,

which, unfortunately, has spent a great deal of time in the garage recently, meaning that our ability to provide assistance is often uncertain.

This car would not be a luxury.

This car would mean that:

- we can reach sick animals in time

-we can take them for neutering

-we can save lives in emergencies

At the moment, the biggest obstacle is often that we don’t have a reliable car for transport.

Every donation brings us closer to changing this.
