WHO WE ARE

The Chance for Pets Odv Association, duly enrolled in the national and regional register, was founded in 2012 under the name of "Chance for Dogs" with the aim of seeking adoption and helping dogs in difficulty in the territory of the province of Latina.At the end of the year 2021 Chance doubles, becoming Chance for Pets, we have thus decided to help dogs and cats without distinction.

The Association is not subsidised by any public body, it goes ahead thanks to the efforts of the volunteers.

Over the years, the network of solidarity has grown from a core group of four people to include the support of various volunteers from central/northern Italy, and in recent years we have collaborated with two German associations.

On average over 500 dogs, both puppies and adults, are rescued and fostered in this way every year.

It should also be emphasised that the dogs helped by the association do not pass through any approved kennels, but are currently taken in temporarily with great difficulty by the volunteers, for as long as it takes to find the right foster family for them. For about three years now, the association has been slowly trying to put aside a small amount of money for the work of the shelter.

WHAT WE DO

-Support for families with problems keeping their dogs and placing them with new adoptive families

-Recovery and relocation of abused and lonely dogs

-Sterilisation of wild bitches to avoid the birth of hundreds of dogs

-Microchipping unwanted litters with sterilisation of the mother

-Housing with self-supported home system

- collaboration with memoranda of understanding with local administrations

-Pre-adoption praxis

-Final adoption

-Fundraising and awareness-raising events

THE GOAL

The goal is to build an oasis, on land in Cori ( LT) bought with a loan. With great difficulty and on our own, we created the fence and renovated a small nurse's office. Now, however, it is time for the dog houses, the interior fences, the dog kennels, the well and the facilities.

We have thought about opening a fundraiser, because at the moment almost everything has been done thanks to loans that weigh on the shoulders of the volunteers or small events. However, this cannot bring us the necessary result.
