Every kilometre counts - ready, set, go... fundraising begins!

211 kilometres for FAPF!

In 2025, our running team is planning to run around Lake Balaton for the 6th time, but this year we have set ourselves a new challenge in addition to the run. In addition to running the 211 kilometres of the race, our goal is to collect 5 euros (~2000 HUF) for every kilometre, which we will use to support the work of the Füzesabony Animal Protection Foundation (FAPF).

The team of a few people of the Füzesabony Animal Welfare Fund rescues dogs and cats from the darkest corners of Heves county, who are thrown out on the streets, starved, sick, often tortured and provides them with medical and surgical care, which in most cases is a life-saving intervention, a new hope for a better life.

Our fundraising campaign is looking for supporters 211 kilometres away.

I am personally involved in the work of the Animal Welfare Association of Füzesabony, as both our dogs came to us thanks to their help. Our dog Szotyi was rescued from freezing to death with his mother and siblings when he was a tiny baby, and our dog Alfa was found in the yard of a house where he could only have been found by someone throwing him over the fence. Luckily, he ended up in the garden of an animal lover who, although unable to keep the new arrival, asked the Foundation for help.
