The "Bar di Paese" project came about during my trips out of town. I often used to stop (and still do) at the bar for a coffee, and every time I walked into a village bar, I realised there was a whole world there.

So, being the lover of stories and people that I am, I decided to tell the stories of the people and the village bar because I wanted to capture on paper a time that once was and will never return, or to discover the evolution of a place that has always been a point of reference for so many.

I will accompany the short stories with photographs, curated by Emanuela Amadio, founder of Case di Fotografia and photography lecturer. The first book contains stories from five bars in the province of Teramo, in Abruzzo.

The fundraising will be used to finance the design, promotion and printing of the book and to launch a collective project that could extend to all Italian provinces, to which people can contribute financially and by spreading the word on social media.

I would like to create a ‘bar of bars’, which can spread as widely as possible!
