Description
These little brothers have had a rough start in life. Alfred, who was born on 20 January 2024, caught the RS virus when he was five weeks old. It was so serious that he had to be air-ambulanced to Gothenburg. He stopped breathing, but they managed to get him breathing again. He was in hospital for over five weeks. Even now, he’s still not well. He needs frequent inhalation treatment, has lots of colds, and they’re monitoring the complications he’s had since the RSV. His big brother turns 3 in June; he doesn’t speak (sign language) and has a selective eating disorder, so they have loads of appointments with doctors, psychologists and speech therapists. The family’s finances collapsed completely as his dad couldn’t work during Alfred’s hospital stay. No compensation from the Social Insurance Agency or child insurance. Finances at rock bottom! The family would love to be able to take the boys to a zoo. Borås is the cheapest option, but it would be lovely to go somewhere where they could stay overnight. To bring a bit of joy into their everyday lives, away from all the illnesses.
