Since my operation on 14 October, I have deliberately taken some time out to recover from the ordeal and build up my strength for the radiotherapy treatment starting in January. I am infinitely grateful for the wonderful support I have received at Villach Regional Hospital – both from the doctors and from the caring team looking after me. The psychological support provided by Cancer Support is also giving me strength during this difficult time.
A huge thank you goes to the Lions Club Villach, who helped me without any red tape. Thanks to the social worker at the LKH, my health insurance has also been sorted out, and I will be receiving sick pay for the coming months. Unfortunately, this barely covers my rent and is not enough for all the necessary expenses.
As applications for financial support are often subject to long waiting times or previous income thresholds, covering our monthly costs remains a challenge. That is why I am infinitely grateful for any emergency aid that supports us over the coming months.

Dear friends and family,
I would like to ask for your support today, as I find myself in a very difficult and unexpected situation. After being diagnosed with breast cancer, I was completely knocked off my feet and unfortunately had to cancel all the yoga classes and training courses I had planned, which were due to start this autumn. This is placing a heavy burden on me, not only emotionally but also financially. The diagnosis has turned my life completely upside down, and whilst I am doing everything I can to focus on my recovery, the loss of my main source of income is very difficult for me.
As I am currently unable to work due to my illness and treatment, I am reliant on financial support to get through the coming months and to fund the necessary treatments.
What makes it particularly difficult for me is that I had already been battling a chronic condition, endometriosis, from late 2020 until spring 2023. That period was very exhausting and demanding – both physically and mentally. After almost three years of intensive treatment and restrictions, I finally had a period last year when I was feeling relatively well. Unfortunately, I had hardly any time, resources or energy left to gather to tackle this new challenge.
As I am currently unable to work due to ongoing treatment and have lost my financial income from yoga classes, I have launched this fundraising campaign. Every contribution, no matter how small, helps me enormously to get through the coming months and the necessary medical treatments.
I am deeply grateful for any form of support – be it a donation, sharing this appeal, or simply kind thoughts and positive energy.
