I thought for a long time about whether I should disclose this. I didn't dare to ask for help at first, I tried to do it myself for a long time and make the impossible possible.

After a while, I then dared to ask friends for the first time to support me financially.

I know the amount is a lot, but to be honest I don't know how much it all is, I'm simply in over my head.

Story 1:

About 2 years ago I opened a plumbing company with the help of the Croatian Labour Office and the EU. This was a programme that offered €15,000 in initial support from the EU to build a company that would eventually grow. As I had just been made redundant from my old job, I had no choice but to accept this "offer".

A few months went by and I spent the money that was set aside for certain things. I bought tools, work clothes and used the money to pay the monthly taxes from the tax office. Initially I was told that I could cover my taxes with the money for about 3 years without having to worry about massive income.

But worse was to come. Shortly after opening the company, the currency change from Kuna (KN) to Euro (€) was imminent, which was a massive downgrade for this country. I lost a lot of money as a result, and taxes became even more expensive.

I felt this directly and realised that I would probably not even be able to get by for 1.5 years. This was the case and I had to make do with more and more "cramp" solutions. But at some point, it was no longer possible. Also, because I live in a small town and have very limited mobility, I was earning little to nothing from jobs.

Slowly but surely, the debts to the tax office piled up. Until, towards the end of 2024, my accounts were frozen and the debt was already over €1,000. Week after week, it kept increasing. And at the time of publishing this appeal for donations, I'm sitting at around €2,000in debt. Despite the fact that I am now employed by a company again and working normally, it is currently not possible to somehow stay afloat. As a result, I sometimes lack money for bread, water, etc. There are electricity bills, rent, internet and telephone bills, all unpaid. Mobile phone contracts and 1/2 routers have already been cancelled because I owe €7-800. I currently only have internet via my router, which costs €40 a month.

Now, in March, the electricity will most likely be cut off completely.

To answer the question of whether my sister and my mum earn money. Yes they do, my mum earns the Croatian minimum wage of 800 euros a month, half of which goes towards an old loan, and it's similar for my sister. All in all, there's not enough money to go around.

Story 2:

This story is about my father. Probably the best dad, the best husband, the best role model, simply a MAKER. He has always tried to find a solution to every problem and has always been successful. But with this money problem, he has already had to sell many of his favourite things, including his current project car, his Golf 1.

In addition, he has always had a heart condition, knows hospitals inside out and has new pains every day. Every day you have to worry whether he will wake up the next day or not.

But what is this about? It's about the fact that he has had a doctor's appointment for several months, which he can 't attend. Unfortunately, the reason for this is money, as he has private insurance and cannot afford treatment from his specialist doctor. His doctor was able to give him a not 100% accurate guess, which said that he may have active prostate cancer. Due to the problems mentioned above, it is not possible to find out whether this is true.

He also has dreams in which he realises that he will not live to see his 50th birthday in April, which worries the whole family and makes the issue of not being able to see a doctor even worse.

Conclusion:

I've reached a point where I don't know what to do. I've already tried to make a difference by appealing for donations on Twitch, but that wasn't successful.

I'm hoping to get some money this way so that my family and I can stand on two legs again and everything can go in a better direction.

What I will do with the money:

• Settle outstanding bills (internet, mobile phone, water, electricity, rent)
• Pay off tax office debts
• Pay for my father's doctor's appointment
• Use the money to get back on both feet in life.
