Help Transilio SK Gallop Ahead: Support Our Equestrian Club in Transylvania!

Hello from Hunor! I’m here on behalf of my amazing mother, Erika, to invite you to help us keep our equestrian club, Transilio SK, running strong. We’re nestled in the heart of Transylvania, Romania, in a little village called Siculeni. With our team of friendly, beautiful horses, we’re committed to spreading the magic of equestrian sports, horse-assisted therapy, and outdoor adventures to kids of all ages and abilities.

My mother, Erika, is the heart of this operation. As a therapeutic trainer, she works wonders with specially-abled children—kids who once needed assistance just to sit upright are now riding horses, doing exercises that are more complex than most adults could manage! Our horses have helped children with a wide range of challenges, from improving their attention spans to strengthening their hand-eye coordination.

And it’s not just therapy. Transilio SK is a place for kids and parents alike to reconnect with nature, animals, and themselves. We organize parent-child days where parents get to see their kids take on new responsibilities, building confidence as they bond with our horses. Plus, we offer everything from scenic equestrian tours and showjumping lessons to simple but soul-refreshing nature-based activities.

Why We Need Your Help

This past year, like so many, we’ve faced some challenges. With the pandemic and ongoing global shifts, we’ve accumulated some debt—mainly from hay costs. We don’t own land to grow it ourselves, so we work with local farmers who supply us with the hay and grains our horses need. But with rising costs, we’ve been covering the difference on our own, and now we need a hand.

Funds raised will go toward supporting our farmer partners who provide feed for the horses, as well as some small but necessary improvements to our stable and facilities.
