Hello everyone,
We are setting up this fundraiser to help Rui Mendes, who urgently needs an ocular prosthesis.
Rui recently went through a difficult time and ended up losing his eye due to a [serious accident]. In addition to the emotional and physical impact of the loss, the lack of a prosthesis causes daily discomfort and seriously affects his self-esteem and social life.
The prosthetic eye is made to measure. It does not restore sight, but it restores dignity and facial symmetry, and protects the eye socket from infection.
Unfortunately, the total cost of the prosthesis, consultations and tests is [€4,900], a sum the family cannot afford on their own at this time.
