Description
I often visit Brazil because my wife is from there. I’m a keen footballer myself, so I take part in regional leagues and tournaments. It was through this that I discovered my passion project: I support disadvantaged and underprivileged children in football by providing suitable kit and organising regular training sessions and tournaments. Children and young people of all ages, from 6 to 18, are trained here.
The children in this region face difficult living conditions and are vulnerable to violence, drugs and crime. I use football as a tool to instil values such as a sense of community, discipline and friendship.
- Funding the purchase of football boots and equipment (balls, shirts, goals, etc.) for children.
- Collection of second-hand football boots and equipment, and their transport to Brazil.
- Organisation of regional and national football tournaments and championships (outdoor and indoor).
- Establishing further football schools in disadvantaged regions: organising regular weekly training sessions with qualified coaches for age groups from 5 to 18 years old.
