Ever since I was a child, I’ve always looked up to my uncle. He was one of those people who teach you without even trying, with patience, humour and a great deal of passion for what he did. His great love—apart from his family—was cars. He would spend hours in the garage, fixing parts, cleaning the engine and telling me stories about every detail.

The Saab 93 was his pride and joy. It wasn’t just any car: he’d worked hard to buy it, looked after it with care and enjoyed every journey in it. For him, that car represented freedom, the open road and life itself. When he passed away, he left a huge void… but he also left me his Saab.

Today, that car sits idle, somewhat weathered by time and the elements. But to me, it’s not just a vehicle: it’s a part of him. Every time I look at it, I feel as though he’s still there, teaching me not to give up and to value the things that really matter.

That’s why my dream is to restore his Saab 93. I want to restore it to its original condition, bring its engine back to life and hear its roar once more, not just for the love of cars, but as a tribute to my uncle, to his memory and to everything he taught me.

I am raising funds to cover the restoration costs:

Complete engine overhaul

Paintwork and bodywork

Cleaning and interior restoration

Replacement of damaged parts and tyres

Any help, however small, will be another step towards making this dream a reality.
