A year ago, I started my own business in the construction industry – practically from scratch.

At the start, I travelled from job to job on foot and by public transport, taking on smaller jobs. I took every enquiry seriously, because I knew that was the only way I could move forward.

Over the past year, we have completed hundreds of jobs in Budapest and the surrounding area. We took on even the smallest jobs, and we still do so to this day. I am proud that we have achieved 100% customer satisfaction – every client has been happy with our work.

Later, I managed to save enough to buy a car, which is essential for this line of work. Shortly afterwards, however, the car broke down, and then I was involved in an accident. Since then, I have spent all my savings on getting it back on the road, because I cannot work without it.

I’m now at the stage where the business is up and running and I have work, but the events of the past period have put such a financial strain on me that the whole thing is starting to slip through my fingers. It’s not work I’m lacking – it’s that small reserve that would see me through this period.

I would need around €2,000 (approx. 700,000 HUF) to stabilise my business: for materials, fuel and to complete the work currently in progress.

I don’t want to give up – I want to save and build on what I’ve worked so hard to build over the past year.
