Description

My story

Hello, my name is Panagiotis Avramidis. Following a recent injury, my daily life has come to a standstill. The MRI scan I underwent revealed serious damage to my left knee, which leaves me unable to work or move without pain.

The medical diagnosis

According to the official medical report, I have:

An extensive tear of the anterior cruciate ligament.

Bone oedema and microfractures in the tibia.

Partial tendon tear and fluid in the joint.

A tear of the lateral collateral ligament.

The doctors are clear: surgical repair is the only way to avoid permanent disability in the leg.

The impasse

My situation is particularly difficult, as:

I have no health insurance cover (EFKA/IKA), meaning I cannot have surgery in a public hospital without waiting many months (time I do not have given the severity of the condition) or cover the enormous cost of the materials and the operation.

Financial hardship: The cost of the operation, the specialised implants and the subsequent rehabilitation (physiotherapy) far exceeds my means.

Why I am asking for your help

Right now, you are my only hope of returning to my job and my life. I am asking for your financial support to raise the sum of €7,000.

The money will be used for:

Cruciate ligament reconstruction surgery.

Hospital fees and medical supplies.

The physiotherapy programme necessary to restore mobility.

How you can help

With a small donation: Every euro brings me one step closer to the surgery.

By sharing: Please share my appeal with your friends and family.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness and support at this difficult time.
