Description
Zalán has been battling malignant tumours affecting his eyes since he was 2.5 months old. He has been receiving treatment in Switzerland since the age of 6.5, where it was discovered that he is suffering from a very rare and serious form of the disease known as diffuse infiltrating retinoblastoma.
He cannot see out of his right eye, and we are fighting to save his left eye. His treatment costs approximately 9.5 million HUF (23,500 EUR) per year, plus travel costs of over 1 million HUF (2,750 EUR) per trip. At present, we have to travel to the doctor every 6–8 weeks, which is 1,100 km from where we live.
We have set up our own foundation to raise funds for his treatment costs and to coordinate the fundraising. Please, if you can, support his recovery!
