My name is Bart, owner of TheBase-gym. TheBase-gym is a small-scale, personal training facility where people work on their strength, fitness, and mental resilience. But it is more than just a gym. It is a place where people connect, support each other, and feel welcome regardless of their level or background.

With this crowdfunding campaign, I aim to preserve and further develop TheBase-gym as a place where both training and community come together.

The current situation

At this moment, I am facing a major challenge. Due to circumstances surrounding the current location, I am required to relocate. While a new location has been identified, there is a transitional period in between that puts continuity at risk.

This not only creates financial uncertainty, but also the risk that a place which means a lot to many people may temporarily — or even permanently — disappear.

Why is this important?

TheBase-gym is not a typical gym. It is a place where people grow not only physically, but mentally as well.

For some, it is an outlet. For others, it is a social network. And for many, it is a key part of their recovery or personal development.

Every day I see the impact: people gaining confidence, finding structure, and becoming part of a supportive community.

That social aspect is exactly why this place is worth preserving.

What will the funds be used for?

The funds raised through this campaign will be used for:

Bridging the gap during the transition period without a fixed location

Setting up and preparing the new facility

Transporting and purchasing training equipment

Continuing training sessions and personal guidance

Ensuring continuity for members

My goal is to continue operating without interruption and to maintain the quality and personal coaching that people expect from TheBase.
