Description
We’ve found a solution! Now we need your help with that final, crucial step.
The past few weeks have been incredibly nerve-wracking. The place where I live, and where the non-profit organisation Ludwig en Co is based, is at risk of being sold.
But today, at last, there’s some good news! ❤️
The bank is willing to finance the majority of the purchase. My income is sufficient to cover the monthly repayments myself.
There’s just one important condition left:
We need to provide €100,000 of our own funds.
And that’s exactly why we’re launching this crowdfunding campaign.
🐾 Much more than just a house
This place is home to 154 rescued animals, a therapeutic farm for children and young people with autism, ADHD and other special needs, a workplace where people are given opportunities, and the home of my foster daughter.
What once began as an animal shelter has grown into something truly special.
The animals that once needed rescuing themselves are now helping children who are struggling.
Sometimes talking doesn’t work. But sitting next to a horse, breathing does. 🐴
I want to keep this support accessible to everyone. That’s why, for certain sessions, we charge just €10 to €15 per hour, whilst a commercial rate would normally be around €65.
Because every child deserves help, regardless of their family’s financial situation.
My foster daughter, too, has finally found stability here after a difficult period. She’s back at school, achieving brilliant results, and has a real home here.
We don’t want to lose that.
🌿 We want to keep building this ourselves
We can manage our day-to-day running and the care of the animals ourselves.
Some renovations have already been carried out and others are well under way. We also have a concrete plan for the future: to convert three rooms into student accommodation for agro- and biotechnology students at Odisee Sint-Niklaas.
This will allow young people to live amongst the animals whilst they study, and we can use the rental income to fund further renovations.
We’re not asking for help to maintain a luxurious lifestyle or to remain dependent on donations. We’re asking for help to secure this place, so that we can carry on independently afterwards.
❤️ Will you help us raise those final €100,000?
I’m used to finding solutions myself, rescuing animals, supporting children and working hard.
But I cannot take this step on my own.
That is why today I am daring to ask the hardest question of my life.
Will you help us to preserve this place?
I’ve opened a separate bank account especially for this.

Every contribution, big or small, brings us closer to our goal.
Companies, entrepreneurs and organisations wishing to support us are also more than welcome.
If you’re unable to make a financial contribution, please share our appeal. Perhaps your post will reach that one person who can make all the difference.
The bank is willing to finance the bulk of the cost. I can cover the repayments. All that’s missing now is our own contribution.
For the 154 animals. 🐾
For the children who find peace here. 🌿
For my foster daughter, who finally has a home. ❤️
For the people who work, learn and grow here.
Help us keep this place going. Together, we can make this happen! ❤️
From the bottom of my heart: thank you.
