Our beloved Gregoria Mateo Flores passed away unexpectedly in Sweden, where she lived with her husband and three children. Gregoria would have turned 50 in the very month she lost her life in a tragic accident involving a cyclist at Möllevångstorget, Malmö. This event has deeply moved many in the community.

Her passing has caused deep sadness both here and in her native country, the Dominican Republic, where her mother, her eldest daughter, her grandchildren and many loved ones await her.

Gregoria was a cheerful, caring and deeply loved woman, both in Sweden, where she spent her final years, and in her homeland. Her absence has left a great void in those of us who had the privilege of knowing her.

We wish to pay tribute to her with a ceremony that reflects all the love she gave during her life: we want to hold a farewell ceremony so that her family can say their final goodbyes and take her ashes back to her homeland.
