Description
Hello, first of all I'd like to introduce myself and tell you all about my dream...
This is Arnaud, I'm 20 years old, I studied cookery and I'm very passionate about Japan, its culture and language.
My dream is to live there, but that's not why I'm doing this kitty.
I'm doing this fund to support part of my dream, which is to speak the Japanese language in total immersion, which means going to a language school, getting somewhere to live, taking the transport, making friends and, in short, having a more than normal life, but being abroad for 3 months.
Why I chose Japan:
As mentioned above, I'm a big fan of its culture, but to be on the safe side, I decided to go there in 2023 with my older sister, and we absolutely loved the trip.
1 year later, I decided to go back, but this time on my own and for 1 month, cut off from the world, in total immersion, and that's when I decided to make my dream come true. I also met my girlfriend there, and we've been together for almost 1 year now, but it's a bit complicated every day with the distance.
We try to see each other regularly every 3 months by going on short trips, but after a while we just can't keep up financially.
Now I'm going to explain the budget part of this little dream:
Let's start with the plane ticket, which I paid 604.74 euros for. I'm not including the plane ticket in the budget, but I'll show it to you to prove to you that it's not just a fleeting dream.
Then there's the school, which is called La Toshin Language School, one of the cheapest but one of the best, with 4 hours of lessons a day from Monday to Friday, which costs 925.12 euros per term, all lessons in Japanese for total immersion, with an exam recognised by the French government (the JLPT 5).
then there's the accommodation, which is about fifteen minutes by public transport from the school. I chose this accommodation because it was close by, so that I'd lose as little time as possible and be as focused as possible on this project, and above all because it was one of the cheapest: the price for 3 months, with water, electricity and Wi-Fi included, is 2716.12 euros.

Transport, I've calculated the cost of getting to and from school, which comes to 140 euros for 3 months, but I'm also planning to take advantage of the weekend, but that's not included in the calculations as it's just an extra.
Food, to be in good health, a budget of around 200 euros per month. As food is less expensive in some respects, the budget is not huge.
making a total of : 3,981.32 euros for 3 months
There you have it, a detailed budget plan with screens of the steps I was able to start taking last month. I'm financing this project as much as I can, but as I work on a temporary basis, my salary changes enormously, which means I'm constantly stressed about not being able to make my little dream come true.
Thank you for reading, all small donations are still a great help, do not hesitate to share as much as possible, I'll keep you informed as much as possible in the news.
and here are some photos of my trip to Japan:
