Good morning everyone,

I am writing to you with my heart on my sleeve to tell you the story of an extraordinary woman, a mother who is fighting with all her might not to lose what is most precious to her: her children.

This single mother has had a hard life, marked by many difficulties. As a child, she was placed in foster care because her parents were addicted to drugs. But her foster family never gave her the love and support she needed. As she grew up, she tried to build a better life for herself, but fate has often been cruel to her.

She became a mother for the first time, but the father of her little girl, a gambler, never looked after them, leaving her on her own. Years later, she had a second child from another relationship, but once again she was left to fight alone.

Despite everything, this woman never gave up: she works tirelessly, juggling cleaning jobs and online sales, doing everything she can to give her children a decent life. But six months ago, overwhelmed by loneliness and exhaustion, she had a breakdown and attempted to take her own life. Only the courage of her eldest daughter, who called for help, saved her life.

Now, this brave mother is fighting against a system that fails to recognise her worth, that judges without understanding. Social workers keep putting her to the test, making her feel as though she is never good enough. Yet I know her: she is a strong woman who loves her children more than anything else in the world.

What I want to do is help her turn her home into a welcoming, bright place, worthy of the love she has within her. I want to give her the chance to start afresh, to show others and herself that she can do it.

We need to raise €5,000 to fix up the flat, paint it, and buy furniture and clothes for her and the children. But above all, we want to give her the hope that she is not alone, that there are people who believe in her.
