Description
After my previous car’s engine seized up and it was beyond repair, I
picked up my new car on 12 September, a 2011 Renault Megane 1.5 TDI, but my joy gave way to disappointment within a few hours. I was on my way to work when I received a fault warning; after first being guided to a safe spot, the ANWB arrived and diagnosed a fault with injector 2.
After contacting the seller, KN Automotive in Gouda, this was repaired.
Shortly afterwards, the other three injectors also failed, and following much insistence on my part, the dealer replaced them with reconditioned injectors. The car ran well for a short time (about two weeks). Now another injector has failed (injector 3). The dealer claims to have done everything possible, and legally speaking, that appears to be the case. I have put all my savings into the car and am now faced with the problem that the repair with new injectors will cost around €2,500, which I do not have. However, I cannot do without a car for my work; Moerdijk is not accessible by public transport, and I work shifts – the morning shift starts at 06:00, when there is hardly any public transport running.
