On 4 July 2025, at the crack of dawn, a sudden explosion ripped through the silence of Via dei Gordiani. An LPG station, right in front of our sports club, blew up with a roar that destroyed not only buildings and cars... but also our house. Villa De Sanctis is not just a sports centre. It is a refuge. A place where hundreds of children learn to play, to grow, to smile. Where whole families come together every day to experience sport, friendship and community.

Today, all this is gone.

• The tennis courts are devastated by debris and rubble, impassable.
• The swimming pools, the symbol of the summer for so many children, are unusable.
• Our summer centre, which only a few hours earlier housed children and animators full of life, was evacuated just in time.
• Glass shattered, structures damaged, equipment destroyed.

We were lucky. No one was hurt. But what we built with years of passion, work, sacrifice... now lies under the rubble.

Why we ask for your help

Getting all this back on its feet will take a long time and enormous resources. And we cannot do it alone. Every euro

collected will go to:

• Restore sports areas (tennis, five-a-side football, swimming pool)
• Repair structural damage to buildings and changing rooms
• Ensure the safety of children and members
• Reactivate the summer centre so as not to extinguish the summer of those who count on us
