For my beloved daughter:

Our teenage daughter's handbag was stolen in Ghent, Belgium. (at a gas station) This happened last saturday. All her personal belongings were in the bag, she only has her phone left (fortunately, it was not in the bag!).

I'm trying to help her recover some of the extra costs this had presented, besides her grief for lost things she can never gain back (some of the belongings she had for years like her handbag & her wallet). She also lost her faith in humanity a bit, because about one week later the bag has not been returned anywhere by anyone. Although we went to the police and used socials in a lot of ways.

I want to gift her a holiday without worries this summer, so perhaps you can help her out a bit. If we can get some of the costs back, I'll have a higher chance to help her out this summer. Every little bit of help is so much appreciated!

By accident, our address and all the house keys were also in the bag. So we had to change all the locks to prevent a possible burglary.

This sums up all the costs this stealing person brought upon us:

• loop switch earbuds: 54,95€
• cash: my daughter guessed there was about 100€ in the wallet
• new passport photos: 6€
• key chain: 10€
• new ID + provisional driver's license: 48€
