I want to support my child
I want to support my child
What will you fundraise for today?
Description
My child has moved to Copenhagen due to his opportunities to enter the job market.
He has ADHD and mild autism, so there are many challenges in managing daily life. He needs and ask for my support.
I live in Jutland and I really want to help, so it breaks my heart to be stuck here, feeling helpless. There is very little I can do beyond taking phone calls and talking with him.
I am on a very tight budget because I receive early retirement pension, so I cannot afford to move to Zealand or travel there more than a few times a year.
Every time he needs someone to listen, comfort, and just be there, every time he needs help managing everyday tasks like cooking and laundry, I can’t be there for him.
I feel completely powerless and have tried everything I could think of to improve my situation, but I simply can’t afford to move to Zealand.
I deeply wish to give him a secure start in adult life, because that’s crucial for everyone — and especially for vulnerable young people.
One possible solution is for us to live next to each other in two separate homes, which would be possible in a small house in the countryside of Zealand.
This would also be the most affordable way for me to move there.
This fundraiser is for the down payment on a house in the absolute lowest price range.
I am 60 years old and, due to my pension, I am not able to save up. Because of my age, I can only borrow 40% of the purchase price through a mortgage loan, and it's not financially feasible for me to take out an additional bank loan.
When you support my fundraiser, I want to express my deepest gratitude, and I have great respect for your compassion.
“Pay it forward,” as they say — such beautiful words. I want to pay it forward to my child, and I hope you feel moved to
pay it forward to me.
