My name is Michael and I write these lines with a broken heart, but full of hope. My father, Eronim, is for me not only the parent who raised me, but also my hero, the man who taught me what love, sacrifice and courage mean. Now, however, he is facing the hardest battle of his life – lung cancer.

In recent months, our lives have changed radically. The treatment that could give him a real chance at life is beyond our financial possibilities. The costs amount to 6,000 euros – an amount that for us, at this moment, seems impossible to reach, but which represents the only hope for my father.

Eronim is a good man, who has worked his whole life to give us the best he had. I see him fighting day by day, with a strength that inspires and hurts me at the same time. I want to give him a chance, to help him stay with us, to continue sharing moments, to see him smile again.
