Hello! Two days ago, I had to go to a health centre because I suffered a panic attack. This happened because not all of us at my current company are being paid the wages we are owed. I became extremely distressed when I started receiving notices of non-payment. I was signed off sick, and now they are pressuring me to return to work immediately without even considering paying me my wages. The excuse they’re using is that they don’t have the money to pay all their staff. The thing is, between Saturday the 2nd and Sunday the 3rd, my company took in €10,000 thanks to the solidarity of an entire town with Valencia. Telling me on the 6th that they can’t pay me and that I should return to work is making me even more anxious. The fact is that, as they haven’t paid me, I’m behind on all my bills, including car insurance, rent, internet, a personal loan… etc. They want me to return, but I don’t even have enough for cigarettes or a coffee, let alone petrol – and I’ve realised that in a few days I won’t even have car insurance. It’s all causing me a great deal of distress. That’s why I’m asking for help, so I can look for another job, but it’s a vicious circle; at the moment I couldn’t start another job because I don’t know if I could get there, basically for the same reason: no insurance and no petrol. I don’t know what else to do or if I’m explaining myself clearly. I can prove everything I’m saying: sick note, unpaid insurance, conversations with the company... etc.
