Description

Hello, dear donors. I have a friend whose brother is called Vašek, and both were born with cerebral palsy. I would love to make their wishes come true, and I would very much like the boys to have a happier life. Please allow me to share their story here, which was written by my friend Jiřík himself. Please be so kind as to contribute even a small amount to ease their situation; I would very much like both brothers to be happy, as life has not granted them the most important things: good health and a family. -------Please bear in mind that he has cerebral palsy, so his story may not be entirely error-free, even though he is a very capable lad

We are Jiří and Václav, we are fraternal twins born with cerebral palsy. When we were one year old, our lives changed. I have a mobility impairment, which means I only have a physical disability; I am disabled, but my brother also has an additional disability. Until we were six, we went to nursery because both our parents worked full-time, and from the age of six, Mum was at home with us. Mum was with usand helped us with everything we couldn’t manage on our own, such as getting dressed, going to the toilet, and so on. My brother and I have both undergone several medical operations. Dad didn’t always act like a dad; Mum taught us to be as independent as possible, so when Mum went shopping, for example, I looked after my brother. I fed him, and when necessary, I even gave him pills; I even had to change his clothes; I helped him go to the loo; for 32 years, even though our parents were together, Mum took care of him or I did, depending on the circumstances; despite all the pitfalls and hardships, our parents have a friendly relationship, although I admit that after all these years I still can’t quite forgive Dad, even though I love him; when we were little, Mumwould look after us, and whenever we went into town to shop, for instance, she’d take us along; or Mum even used to play competitive volleyball, so whenever she could, she’d take us to tournaments. We went to summer camps for many years, and so on – Mum arranged all that for us. When we were little, she’d even take us to the swimming pool. Now we’re adults, and because Mum couldn’t keep us at home any longer and to make sure we were looked after if anything happened to her, she arranged for us to live in a facility called ‘Domov Na Zámečku’ in the Olomouc Region. It’s a facility called ‘Domov Na Zámečku’. There are several homes here; it’s literally a castle converted into accommodation for people with disabilities, and my brother and I live in a home for people with disabilities. It’s in the Olomouc Region, weI’m not sure how long – three or four years. We’d like to thank everyone so much for your help ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
