Sunil Kumar and Sumitra, along with their two children, Sanna and Nathan, aged 12 and 8 respectively, originally hail from India and have been residing in Portugal for the past five years. Throughout this period, they have actively participated in street evangelism until July 2024, when they felt a divine calling to establish a church for South Asian agricultural workers in the Leiria district. This decision was inspired by a desire to serve a community that often faces challenges while being away from their families in countries such as India, Pakistan, Nepal, and Bangladesh.

In response to this calling, they initiated the church, and the results have been remarkable. Within a short span, they have welcomed three individuals into the faith through baptism. The enthusiasm and eagerness of the local community to connect with Jesus amidst their daily struggles have been truly inspiring. This ministry aims to provide spiritual support and a sense of belonging to those who are navigating life far from their homeland.

The couple expresses profound gratitude for the work that Jesus is accomplishing through their efforts in Leiria.
