Description
Costin is 26 years old and has been diagnosed with bilateral testicular cancer. He underwent surgery on 5 July 2024; following the operation, a CT scan revealed another abdominal tumour invading the abdominal aorta, which cannot be removed surgically, and he has also developed a pulmonary thromboembolism. He was due to start chemotherapy, but the treatment prescribed by the oncologist (ciplastin + bleomycin) is not available in Romania. Furthermore, due to this PTE and his deteriorating health, doctors in Romania decided he had no chance of surviving the chemotherapy, so we headed to Turkey, to KOC University in Istanbul, where he came through the first round of chemo very well and has three more rounds to go. The doctors there are optimistic about the treatment and he will continue the three rounds of chemo in Turkey with your help π
