Dear Sirs,

I am writing to you with a humble request for financial assistance, which would enable me to make an important fresh start in life and provide my family with better living conditions.

In the past, due to health problems – specifically a manic phase of bipolar disorder – I found myself in a serious financial situation and incurred debts that I would never have incurred under normal circumstances. It was a difficult period that affected not only me but also my family. I took full responsibility for everything, entered into insolvency proceedings, and with the utmost seriousness and effort, I repaid my debts in full – 100% of all debts are now settled.

Today, I am at the start of a new chapter. My health has stabilised, and I am ready and determined to build a new life. Unfortunately, due to years of debt repayment, I have no savings, and so I lack the funds for basic necessities, such as a deposit for a larger flat that would provide our family with more space and a more dignified home.

I would also like to reward my family, at least symbolically, for their patience, self-sacrifice and modesty in seeing me through all the hard times. I know we will continue to live frugally, but I believe that after all these years we deserve to start afresh, with a clean slate and in dignity.
