An important step in my treatment journey
On 10 March 2026, I was at Medicover Hospital in Warsaw for a neurological assessment for MRgFUS treatment. I was deemed a candidate for this treatment, which is a very important and hopeful step for me.
At this stage, my journey is still ongoing. I have a further neurological consultation ahead of me, as well as a trial of drug treatment for essential tremor. If the medication does not bring about an improvement, I will be able to return to the MRgFUS pathway.
In February, I also underwent speech and language therapy and neuropsychological assessments. These confirmed that my difficulties are mainly related to essential tremor, whilst no dementia was detected.

I have been struggling with essential tremor (tremor essentialis) since childhood; in 2003, the diagnosis was confirmed by a neurologist (scan in the gallery). I want to undergo surgery with Prof. Mirosław Ząbek so that I can write and eat with my right hand again, more easily and with greater dignity. Every donation and share helps. Thank you!
Who I am and what I’m struggling with
My name is Mirosław Konieczny. I have been living with essential tremor for years. In 2003, a neurologist confirmed the diagnosis (a scan of the consultation card is available for viewing).
Why I am asking for help
The condition cannot be treated at its root cause; medication only sometimes alleviates the symptoms. The chance for improvement lies in a procedure performed by Prof. Mirosław Ząbek. I want to regain a calmer mind and hand so that I can write and eat with my right hand again – simply and with dignity.
Goal and budget
I am raising PLN 60,000 for the procedure and associated costs (tests, travel, accommodation, early rehabilitation).
