I am writing to you today to ask for your help in overcoming a difficult time, as I do not know who else to turn to. After around 50 years of marriage, my wife decided to leave the family home, leaving me to deal with all the debts and also abandoning our beloved dog, whom we had lovingly adopted together. This situation has caused me serious financial difficulties, to the extent that I am facing eviction on the 17th of next month. It is a desperate situation that requires your support. I need to raise 5,000–6,000 euros to resolve this issue so that I do not have to leave my home, not least because I have nowhere else to go. Every contribution, large or small, will make a difference and will be deeply appreciated. I am a shy and reserved person and I would never have wanted to reach this point, but I truly believe in people’s generosity; I myself have helped others whenever I could, and I hope that your generosity can resolve this problem and allow me to look forward with hope and the desire to continue writing my poetry books.
