Description
“The Lost Forest – A Chance for the Future”
On the outskirts of a small village in Romania, a forest that was once teeming with life and wildlife is now a shadow of its former self. Illegal logging has left behind nothing but stumps and bare earth, and the villagers watch helplessly as the ecosystem that provided them with shade, fresh air and clean water slowly disappears.
Among those most affected is Grandfather Mihai, who recounts with tears in his eyes:
“When I was a child, I used to go into the forest with my father. We’d pick mushrooms, listen to the birds and enjoy the cool air. Now, all I can give my little grandson, Andrei, are stories… the forest is no more.”
But it’s not too late. Together, we can bring nature back!
Our plan:
We aim to reforest 10 hectares of land over the next 3 years, install protective fences against illegal logging, and create an educational programme for children on the importance of forests.
With €50,000 we can:
• Plant 30,000 saplings (oak, beech and other local species).
• Hire a local team to look after the saplings in their early years.
• Organise workshops for local people on nature conservation.
Call to action:
Join us in planting the roots of the future! Every contribution counts:
• €10= 5 trees planted.
• 50 EUR= one metre of protective fencing.
• 100 EUR= materials for an educational workshop for children.
Be part of the rebirth of the Lost Forest! With your help, we can give back to nature what has been taken and leave a green legacy for future generations.
