"The Lost Forest - A Chance for the Future

On the outskirts of a small village in Romania, a once vibrant forest teeming with animals is now a shadow of its former self. Illegal logging has left behind only stumps and empty land, and the villagers watch helplessly as the ecosystem that provided them with shade, fresh air and clean water slowly disappears.

Among the worst affected is grandfather Michael, who recounts with tears in his eyes:

"When I was a child, I used to come with my father to the forest. We'd pick mushrooms, listen to the birds and enjoy the cool. Now, I bring my grandson, Andrei, only stories... the forest is no more."

But it's not too late. Together, we can bring nature back!

Our plan:

We aim to reforest 10 hectares of land over the next 3 years, install fences to protect against illegal logging and create an educational programme for children about the importance of forests.

With €50,000 we can:

- Plant 30,000 saplings (oak, beech and other local species).

- Hire a local team to maintain the seedlings in the first years.

- Organise workshops for locals on nature conservation.
