Easter in Ukraine
Easter in Ukraine
What will you fundraise for today?
Description
For the third year in a row, we're setting about bringing a little Easter joy for Ukrainian orphan children!
This year, our journey will take us to some of our traditional spots, such as Svalyava and Chynadyiovo orphanages, as well as Vilshany Center for Disabled.
We hope to bring joy and steal smiles and have some fun with the kids.
Holidays like Easter can sometimes be a reminder of loss, but gifts and festivities can also create new, happy memories. For children in orphanages, these positive experiences can help foster a sense of belonging and happiness.
Easter symbolizes renewal, hope, and new beginnings. For children who may have faced trauma or difficult circumstances, receiving presents during this time can be a symbol of hope for a better future. It helps them associate the holiday with positive feelings rather than sorrow or neglect.
So, please join us on our wonderful journey!
To break it down, we will visit:
- Svalyava Center for Paliative Care for Children (Zakarpattia Oblast)
- Chyandyiovo Orphanage (Zakarpattia Oblast)
- Vilshany Center for Permanently Disabled (Zakarpattia Oblast)
- Kalynivske Center for Children (Kherson Oblast)
- A Children's Hospital in Odesa
- Mykolaiv Center for Children
- Dnipro Shelter for Internally Displaced People
- Children's Center in Kharkiv
In total, we expect to give presents to 1,000 children, give or take. Mostly give. I expect there should be more.
