Maria (we are using a pseudonym at her request) is a hard-working, caring and resilient woman who is now on the brink of disaster

She recently lost her job and, with no income, was hit by a court case that threatens to take away the modest little house where she lives.

Her home is no luxury: it is the only place where she keeps her memories and where she finds refuge.

To make matters worse, Maria has been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and needs daily treatment that the country’s National Health Service (SUS) does not cover. Without this treatment, her life is at risk.

The few friends she has have done everything we can, but it is not enough. That is why we have launched this campaign:€3,000 (approx. BRL 18,000)to urgently cover:

• Legal representation by a solicitor to prevent her from losing her home due to an injustice.
• Paying for her diabetes treatment for at least one or two months.
• Buying basic foodstuffs whilst she regains her stability.

This is not a lament: it is a human appeal. Maria asked us to protect her — she does not want to expose herself publicly — so we are using her pseudonym and respecting her anonymity. If you can donate just €5, €10, €20 or more, you will be helping her to have a roof over her head again and to continue her treatment.

All funds will be used exclusively for these three needs. I can provide private proof (to larger donors or the platform, if necessary) that all of this is real: I have documentation and photos that I will show only to those who request them privately.
