Assistance to children in Gaza.

Assistance to children in Gaza.

Description

As an internet journalist and activist, I've been actively involved in aiding Ukraine, but none of us expected a similar conflict to erupt in Gaza. Now, as children face suffering, my attention has shifted to this war, particularly to their fate. Children are not responsible for this war and are the most precious to their parents.

I collaborate with non-governmental organizations dedicated to providing humanitarian aid to Gaza, focusing on children's needs. Our primary goal is to ensure they receive food and medical assistance to alleviate the burden of this conflict at least partially. Their innocence and vulnerability deeply touch me, motivating me to dedicate myself to this issue with all my energy and heart.

According to the UN, more children have been killed in Gaza in a few months than in four years worldwide. The organization warns of a looming famine for Palestinians in the Gaza Strip due to critical shortages of food, water, fuel, and medicine. Aid to the Palestinian enclave is not reaching the same extent via land routes as it did before the outbreak of war.

As we seek alternative ways to support Gaza, by sea or by air, we must remind ourselves that it is necessary due to the natural provision of support via land transport being closed, artificially closed. Starvation is used as a weapon of war, and as we condemn what is happening in Ukraine, we must use the same words for what is happening in Gaza.GZBjfCbcMR2osSPP.jpg

According to the latest statement from the Gaza Ministry, an additional 82 people have died in the last 24 hours. The ministry reports that an additional 75,190 people have been injured as a result of the war. The Gaza war is one of the most devastating. Israel used 29,000 bombs and destroyed 70% of homes. Reconstruction of Gaza, where approximately 85% of the population has been forced to leave their homes and many of them are living on the streets, is expected to take decades, according to experts.

Before the conflict broke out, UNICEF estimated that over 500,000 children in the Palestinian enclave needed assistance with mental health and psychosocial support. According to Crickx, the UN agency now believes that "almost all children" need such help, which means over a million children.wEw2ZjISIxMqGSaz.jpg
