Description
We are an association dedicated to recreational fishing, particularly for children. We run a children’s fishing club, a summer camp and children’s fishing competitions.
On 31 January 2025, we discovered a leak of highly concentrated fertiliser into our pond, from which we have already collected over 2 tonnes of fish (many are still in the ice and beneath the ice), representing approximately 70% of the entire stock (our fears that perhaps 100% have died are coming true). We faced a similar situation two years ago, and we managed to deal with it then. This time, however, we cannot manage it without help.
If we do not restock the pond, we will not be able to hold children’s competitions or a summer camp.
Who will we be helping? It will help the children to continue relaxing in nature and carrying on with the fishing club – without fish in the pond, there would be no point. At the same time, it will allow them to spend their summer holidays in nature by the pond.
If children do not have meaningful ways to spend their free time, they often spend hours on computers and mobile phones. However, through fishing and spending time in the countryside, they develop a deeper connection with nature and learn to respect it.
