My name is Daniel, and I’m asking for your help because this is my last resort. The situation my mum is in right now is entirely my fault. I had problems with addiction and kept putting my mum in every possible situation to get hold of money. My mum is a hard-working woman; proof of this is that she is still working even though she could have retired five years ago, but the need to pay off the debts I incurred has led to this situation where she has to keep working. I managed to kick my addictions five years ago, but now I’m paying for all those years of abuse, with many health issues that prevent me from doing any kind of physical work. The situation is as follows: we have managed to pay off several debts to banks, but we are still left with a debt to the housing association where we live for utilities, amounting to €11,500, and another €3,000 or so to a bank. My dream is to be able to help my mum pay off this debt so that she can retire and enjoy a peaceful old age.
