Help Our Daughter Keep Her Macau Identity & Rights
Help Our Daughter Keep Her Macau Identity & Rights
What will you fundraise for today?
Description
In 2011, a precious chapter of our lives began — we adopted our beautiful daughter in Macau when she was 7 years old. She became a part of our hearts forever, and since then, she has been living with us in Portugal, growing up surrounded by love, warmth, and care. She is now 20 years old.
Now, we face an urgent and deeply emotional journey:
Our daughter must travel back to Macau to renew her identification and residency documents. If this isn’t done soon, she risks losing her legal rights as a Macau resident — rights that are part of her identity, her history, and her future.
But this trip is not only about paperwork.
There are still personal belongings she left behind — memories, keepsakes, and small but meaningful pieces of her past — that she longs to recover and bring home.
Unfortunately, the cost of this trip is simply beyond our means at the moment. With two adopted daughters and the high cost of living in Portugal, we are financially stretched. That’s why we are reaching out, with humility and hope, for your support.
The funds raised will help us — her parents — accompany her to Macau to:
- Renew her Macau ID and other essential documents
- Collect personal belongings that remain there
- Reconnect, in a meaningful way, with a part of her origin
Every contribution, no matter how small, brings us closer to preserving our daughter’s rights and helping her reclaim what is hers — legally, emotionally, and personally.
Once our goal is reached, we will express our deepest thanks to all who supported us. You will not only be helping to fund a trip — you will be helping to protect a child’s identity, history, and future.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Bruno Arnauth and Daniela Silva
