Joanita's Hope for women and girls in Uganda

Since its foundation in 2021, Joanita's Hope has already taken in more than 100 women and girls who suffered from domestic violence or were rejected and enabled them to build a self-determined life in dignity and freedom. In the project, the girls and women are welcomed into a supportive community, given medical care and empowered through a new perspective and training courses such as sewing, baking, carpentry and computer skills.

Your donation goes directly towards food, new seeds, the lease for safe accommodation and the repair of sewing machines. This enables the women to sew and sell again and build a self-determined life without domestic violence within the project. There are also plans to build a well to provide access to clean water, as the community currently drinks from natural ponds and puddles.
